K2 Men’s Medium Wide Snowboard 2024

The Medium by Jake Kuzyk, completely redesigned for modern freestyle snowboarding. K2 Snowboarding Pro Rider Jake Kuzyk is dedicated to the classics…a classic, round, twin, tip and tail, a classic (mostly) camber profile, and a predictable flex pattern. We took all these elements into account when heading into the workshop and designing the all-new K2 Medium for the ‘23/24 season.

Working with Jake Kuzyk and Kennedi Deck, K2 focused on creating a tool with an all-inclusive sizing, flex pattern, and design aesthetic. The Medium starts at a 141cm length and maxes out at 159cm.

A deep sidecut between the feet and a smooth blend zone in the tip and tail make the medium feel more stable than in years past (wider waist width, yes!), but still nimble for those low-speed maneuvers in the streets.

K2 worked alongside jake to engineer their new Carbon Backbone™, a pre-cambered carbon stringer that runs form tip to tail, giving Jake all of the snap that he needs without the extra stiffness that he doesn’t.

Jake worked on this graphic from start to finish; hand-cutting each of the paper characters found on the topsheet, the K2 logos on the base, and hand-pulling paint marks to form the gloss prints found on the topsheet.

• Sintered 4000 Base – Hard, fast, and durable, our Sintered Base material holds wax better than extruded materials increasing speed and glide.

Profile: Camber Profile

The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics. Advanced riders tend to prefer this bend, especially for hard carving and high-speed riding. Even when it comes to softer park snowboards, camber boards deliver exceptional pop and control.

       

Shape: Twin

A completely symmetrical shape, which thrives in a variety of freestyle situations. At the core of its design, the twin shape features an identical nose and tail shape, which provides an identical feel and predictable maneuverability whether riding regular or switch. Although originally developed with park riders in mind, twin shapes have also grown to be embraced by many all-mountain riders that like to bring a skateboard style riding out of the park and onto the entire mountain.
